Buried at Sea!!

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Mexico

Archie and I took a couple walks today, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  In the morning, the tide was out so we walked north along the beach up to the new complex that is being built there.  It has a lovely infinity pool and waterfalls in the lobby.  It will be a high end place to stay.

Some of the trees around here are showing some really pretty blossoms.  I guess it is actually spring here.

Right before the development is the old graveyard which is slowly becoming eroded and washing into the sea.  Rumor has it that the people who's relatives were buried in this place were given money to relocate the bodies, however some say that most just took the money and said goodbye to old uncle Juan!!!  Like I say, just a rumor, but I'm not sure I wouldn't do the same thing.  What's wrong with a good old sea burial on a stormy night!!!

When we were here 2 years ago, I don't remember these graves being washed down.  I didn't have the nerve to go look to see if there were any parts in them.   I will wait until dark one evening!!!!

The tall cowboy and his short fat dog went for another walk in the evening.  We were careful not to turn around in case we would be tempted to take a picture of the sunset.  What self control we have!!!!

I can never get enough of our pretty beach.

Supper was yummy tonight.  We had Dorado with lake potatoes.  Lake potatoes are a special treat in our house and the kids used to love them.  We named them that, because we used to cook them at the lake either over a fire or on the BBQ.  They are sliced thin with butter and onion and wrapped in tin foil and cooked.  mmmmmm good.

Everyone curled up for a nice relax and nap after supper except for me.  Archie took over my chair so I thought....what the heck??  and went to bed.   Goodnight

  1. Yikes, the graveyard is scary! The lake potatoes are pretty delish; we make them too. I wonder if the snow will melt and the lake will thaw? There is so much snow ❄️
Nice to see that Sue and Archie get the comfy seats lol 😆
