Today was an absolutely beautiful day in the desert. The sky was a brilliant blue and the temperature was mid 20's C with a light breeze. Archie and I went for a little walk around the MH to check things out. We saw this tall dark stranger as we walked along!
There was a poor old cactus who has seen better days just across from us. It was probably as old as the tall dark stranger.
Just had a few chores to do while I await the arrival of our solar stuff at Moon Mountain parcel depot. The first chore was to get up and put the cover on our roof vent. We need it in case it ever rains when we have the roof vent open.
We had a fellow camper drop by to tell us that we were actually camped in a day use area and although it probably wouldn't happen, the Ranger might come along and tell us to move. If he did, it would probably be at an untimely hour of the day or night. We were going to move to a different sight anyway so we just moved a quarter mile down the road where we were allowed to spend 14 days.

We had been invited to join Bill and Patsy for happy hour at 3 today. We have not seen them for a couple of years so we were happy to join them. They had also invited Tom and Deb who we saw 2 years ago and Deb and Riley who we have never met. It was so good to see them all again. Now I have been following Deb and Riley on their blog for probably 5 if not 6 years and our paths just never seemed to cross. They both feel like old friends but it was so nice to actually hug them in person. Being on the road has some perks and this meeting was one of the ones we enjoy. We probably have gained some lifelong friends who we will meet up with as we travel around. We hope to see them lots in the next couple weeks. Because we all do travel blogs, the camera's were up getting the picture of the group so they could beat each other to publishing it. I hope I win!!!

Bill and Patsy have offered to receive our amazon deliveries of solar stuff and today we got a few boxes full of stuff. It was kinda like Christmas. Now the work begins. We have a few more things to pick up tomorrow. I guess I had better get to bed so I am good for work tomorrow. Good Nite!

We had a fantastic time. Thanks Deb & Tom for once again being our tour guides. Thanks to Bill and Patsy for the invite, it was great seeing you again. Thanks to Lorne and Sue for finally stopping long enough for us to catch up with you and shoot the breeze. We look forward to more meetings over the next few weeks.
