Shave and a Haircut

Today we found out early that the rocket launch was a no go.  It has been rescheduled for Saturday morning at 8:55 am so we will gather back in the courtyard for the viewing then.  That is a good thing because it is supposed to be a cloudy day tomorrow and we wouldn't see it.  It may have had something to do with the Tornado Watch that showed up on my phone too.

We headed into St. Cloud to do a bit of stuff and we will be meeting a bunch of the gang for supper at the Human Feedlot.  (Golden Buffet)  The roads were wet and oncoming traffic was blowing up some water so we had to drive careful on this road because there is no shoulder to rely on.

I was in search of a barber shop so we headed to old downtown St. Cloud.  Around these parts Disney is the main attraction and because of that there are lots of major roads leading to Orlando etc. Traffic is thick on these 6 lane roads and along the sides are every modern store known to man.   But if you get a couple blocks off of these highways you will sometimes find an old part of town.  That is what we found in old town St. Cloud.  The main part of town is cobblestone streets which are really pretty.

City hall is quite big and they have a gorgeous Christmas tree which I'm sure is pretty when it is all lit up at night.

And look, there is a little Barber Shop just like what I was looking for.  I went in and the Barber was sitting waiting for business.  In about 15 minutes I was out with a shave and a haircut, two bits!!

Once that was done it was time to head over to the Golden Corral or the Human Feedlot as Harold calls it.  We were meeting the gang for supper tonight because our gang is starting to dwindle for the holidays.  Some people are moving out for a few days.  Bonnie will be leaving us tomorrow to go back home for Christmas with the family.

Hey hey the gangs all here.  We do admit that we do some things right in life and getting together for a good feast is one of them.  Burp!!!

Brian had to give us his Neanderthal impression.  I don't know where he found the turkey leg?

And one more picture with everyone's bellies full.

After supper we headed for Sam's club to pick up some things.  Sue and Harold's wife are professional shoppers.

And Harold and I are professional shoppers husbands.  We soon found a comfy couch by the check outs and hung there until the girls were done.

Then it was off home to listen to the raindrops on the roof all night long.  We love to hear it rain when we are sleeping.  Here is the view out our window tonight:
