Heartbreak Hotel

Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest and rest we did.  We woke up to rain and it continued for most of the day.  It was a slow warm rain which I don't really mind.  Everyone just did their own thing for the day.  P & H went to Saint Cloud to do errands and I think it was laundry day for lots of them.

Sue and I went for a little drive down to the little town of Kenansville to the south of us.  Not a lot there, but there is a place to fill up the water bladder, and they have a hardware, groceries, and gas.  There is even a little restaurant down the highway a bit.   And we found what Elvis did his song about!!  The Heartbreak Hotel!!

The moss filled trees are really pretty around here.  It sure seems to grow in this humid environment.

Other than a short bonfire after dark when it quit raining, that was about all we did today.  This is the view from our front window this afternoon.

  1. Mild rain is better than cold rain but it 'dampens' the moods a bit. Better than the white stuff though!
So that's the Heartbreak Hotel! you drew me in with that title.

    1. Maybe that's where Elvis was heading to the other day!! Probably doing a renovation.

  2. Pretty to look at but that moss is full of small bugs, I believe in Georgia they refer to them as chiggers. I love the look of it though, although over time it will kill the trees. Excellent use of a rainy day!!!
