Our Gated Community

Now I know a lot of you think that what we do when we boondock is not very glamorous and some would say they could not do it because of safety issues.  Well let me tell you that when we are here in these no cost campgrounds we are safer than most.  We are in a gated community, and you have to be special to get the combination to the lock.  That is how Water management areas work.  So there!!!  Here is our gate!!

P& H came over to our patio this morning and we all had a nice happy hour on the deck in the morning.  Today we were heading our separate ways to just do some shopping and stuff.  Not much really, just putting in the day.

While we were sitting there, we saw a tree nearby.  It immediately brought a song to my mind.  Do you remember "it was a one eyed, one horned, flyin purple people eater".  Do you see it there in the tree???

As much as I would love to tell you a big long story, I just don't have one.  All I can think of is that it is really really really cold back home.  It is so cold there that they have written a poem about it.  Here it is.

Here is the view out our window tonight.  I know there is not much there, but that is what we like here.  The peace and quiet.

  1. After reading all these Free Areas that we didn't know existed in Florida we think we'll be giving it another try.
Loved the Poem. About to share it with Kathy.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!
