Thanksgiving Supper

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita RV Park, La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico
NEXT DESTINATION? We are here for a while

Well another day has come and gone.  It is the American Thanksgiving today and in honor of our Merican friends we celebrate again!!   Our Canadian Thanksgiving was way back in early October but who is going to turn down two turkey dinners.

It is continuing to be hot and humid here.  The temperatures are what we want but the humidity has been anywhere from 85 to 95 percent.  We are told that the Santa Anna winds are coming but no one knows quite when.   When they do come apparently they whisk the humidity out to sea and it doesn't come back until the next rainy season in the summer.  In the meantime, all we can do is wait here in paradise!!!

The girls got some curtains in PV the other day and Pat has been busy hemming them up and making a channel at the top for the rope to go in.  We finally got them up today and they do look quite nice.  I keep thinking a lot of people might show up for a theater presentation at some point in time.  Hopefully it will provide a little privacy.

For supper we all got together for a throw down, potluck, pitch in, or plate to pass.  Whatever it was, it was good with lots of different foods to eat.

And of course some good desserts.

Now I don't like to get into political things too far but out of the mouths of kids come some things that make you wonder.   Our grand daughter (won't say which one) was shopping the other day with mom and they saw these Christmas decorations.  Now the younger generation doesn't seem to have a racist bone in their bodies but they do hear some of the political things that we as adults should be ashamed of.  She says to her mom, "Oh man mom, you can't get one of those Justin Trudeau ornaments mom!"   Hope you had a great day.  We did!!

  1. We will be in Mexico for four and a half months this winter, but we have only three weeks planned at the beach. It's just too hot and muggy and buggy for us. We much prefer the higher altitudes.

    1. The muggy normally is gone in mid November by what the locals say. Different this year. Bugs have not been a problem to date at all. There is no boogie boarding in the mountains!!! lol

  2. Nice to see that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day as well. Can you have enough turkey? Well, actually yes you can but 2 or 3 times a year is perfect! :)
Love the curtain, makes me think all of you will be 'silhouettes in the shade'.

    1. The curtains are kinda a girly touch but if it gets me brownie points putting them up, then up they go!!
