Archie and I saw lots of birds on our walk today. There are lots of Pelicans now that the fishermen are back in full swing. They wait patiently for the fish guts to be thrown on the beach.
I have been noticing a lot of vultures around this year. We have not seen them on the beach much before this years. The egrets on the other hand have been around here every year.
Drew headed out for a paddle board this morning. He usually rows out to the reef and back which is a couple mile hike. It was getting quite warm by the time he got back.
When I was watering some plants this morning, I rousted out a little iguana. Do you se him up in the tree?
We are running short of drinking water so I grabbed our bottles and headed down to the local refill shop. They do such a good job of washing and sanitizing the bottles and fill them and put them in the car. 10 pesos each or .50 USD. It is only a couple blocks from us so quite handy.
They do offer a delivery service but we would rather keep our own bottles so that's why we take them ourselves.
And their little delivery cart is what I want for delivering wood back at CJ's in the summer. I think I would look good driving around on it.
About 7:30 Leena and I headed downtown. She needed a couple things from the fruiteria and I had told Kenia we would drop by to see her. She was a little bit busy but did have time to make me a bionico. It is a cup of fruit with sweet sauce poured over the top. It was very good. I did take a minute to check out the taco guy. Boy is it ever hard to walk by with all the smells coming from the cart.
We didn't stick around for very long before heading home.
I was quite satisfied with my steps today. In this hot humid weather I just can't walk that far and feel ok so I haven't been worrying about it. Once the Santa Anna winds roll in and take the humidity away, I will try to get back up to my normal 10,000 steps.
