Another Snake on the Beach

WHERE ARE WE? Magnolia Beach Texas

Well we have been here at Magnolia for almost a week now just chillaxin on the beach.  Because the weekend is upon us, there are a few more people either in their cars or RV's.  We are noticing a noticeable absence of Canadians (Quebecers) here this year.  I can't believe that Canadians are naive  enough to believe that coming to the warmth of the south is not a good thing to do.  There is nothing here or anywhere we have travelled that would even hint at any thing out of the ordinary.  Oh well, have fun with that snow shovel this winter!!!  

This morning we had a little more excitement when Sue came back from a bike ride and announced that there was a big rattlesnake on the road.  Being a little bit inquisitive, I jumped on the bike and headed over there.  It was only a few RV's down from ours. 

Of course he had to be killed because there were lots of people on the beach, so a guy in a pickup ran him over.  I went back later and there wasn't much left of him.  Rattlesnakes seem to be on the move here right now so we have to be real careful to look down lots.

After all the excitement, the snow cone truck came sauntering down the beach playing his ice cream music.  I think Ed and Lessie bought one.  

For the rest of the day, we just relaxed with our feet up enjoying the nice weather.  I think we will stay here for a while!!!  Another beautiful sunset here tonight.  Good Nite!!!
