Well it was gonna be another hot one. The temps show no real let up in the next few days other than some rain which will further increase the humidity. I know, I know, I can hear you. We bought into this lifestyle so we need to embrace it. Loved having my man cold while it was 30+. By the way I have been miraculously healed and will live a while longer. I think Susan was a little jealous of me getting all the attention I did, so now she is down for round #2. She is feeling quite badly today.
Embracing means staying hooked up to power for AC, one more day. I got to thinking that maybe it is time to get some decent size fans for when we go to Magnolia Beach and for Mexico use as well. So I headed downtown to check them out. Harbor Freight had some big industrial ones which would probably blow the back wall out of poor ole Percy.
But of course while I was in Harbor Freight (Equivalent of Princess Auto) I had to pick up a few things. Some zip ties are always handy.
I needed some bolts and nuts to fix the couch. I ended up buying a whole box of them for cheaper than just buying 6. Always good to have extra's.
The thing I really wanted to look for was a deflector for the leaf blower that I will be using to get rid of the debris around the pool deck in Mexico. With a straight pipe on the blower some of the debris will spread out in front of me and blow into the pool. So I figure the answer would be to put a 60 to 90 degree elbow on the end so I can walk along the edge of the pool and blow the debris to the outside. Didn't know what to look for but this is what I found. I think it will work real well and can be adjusted to any angle needed. I just knew there were alternate uses for dryer ducting!!! What do you think?? Maybe a little black paint later?
And speaking of the pool I picked up a little treat for the pool!!! A pool thermometer. Last year we had 3 of them and all that did was spark a controversy as to which one showed what the real temperature was. I'm going to throw out all the old thermometers and this will be the official one!!!
Then it was off to HEB for some groceries. We need a few things to get by with. And yes bologna and a pumpkin pie are necessities.
Archie has been cooped up all day in the MH so I took him for a little wander down at the dog park. He found a little friend and played a bit, but spent most of his time just wandering and sniffing.
Well that's about it for today. A little quiz to end with today. Which piece was mine???? lol Good Nite!!
Pumpkin pie...yum!
ReplyDeleteWhich piece was yours? Hmm I would guess the missing one…..lol

I hope Sue feels better soon and maybe she needs some chicken soup.
ReplyDeleteFor $12 a day it's nice to use their power for the AC. Hopefully Sue is better.
ReplyDeleteI can guess which piece is yours but the pie plate is definitely garbage! haha
ReplyDeleteHope Sue is better soon.
btw, we are just as hot here right now on The Ridge. However, our temps will drastically change by Wednesday!
