Today is Ed and Lessie's last day with us here at the beach. We sat and drank coffee and made sure we had all of the world troubles worked out. Archie has enjoyed their visit and they have taught him how to shake a paw!!! We have had fun with them and hope to see them again in the spring maybe.

We had decided that we were going to move back to Victoria RV Park and today was to be the day. The reason was that with the increase in humidity, the heat was getting a little much for us. We needed to be plugged in so we could run our AC full time. The generator is ok for short term but I just can't bear to run it 24 hours a day. Anyway, Randy and Susan said no way we were going to Victoria and told us to bring RRV over to their property that has another RV on it and plug in there. We didn't really love the idea because we felt we would be infringing on them and wearing out our welcome. Well they insisted and so after they agreed to let us pay for our power usage at least, we gave in and moved to their place. We are soooo thankful for friends like them. For my Canadian friends, American people like Ed and Lessie and Randy and Susan and many others, are the reason we come to the US. The people here are all great and although we all have our own opinions of the world, we love the people we are blessed to know for who they are and leave our baggage at the door.
So not only did they invited us to stay at their spare place, they then invited us to join them for a late lunch fish fry. Randy is an avid fisherman and he has a freezer full of all sorts of fish, shrimp, and crab. Well once again, we couldn't say no. So we headed over to their house at about 2:30 pm and Randy was out in the garage cooking up a batch of fish. He loves doing this and I think, takes pleasure in sharing with anyone.
There were 6 of us to eat enough fish to feed all the tribes of Israel. The breading he uses is so tasty and it is cooked to perfection. Mmmmmm

Like I said earlier, we are so pleased that we have these friends here in southern Texas. Keb and Carol from Kansas have arrived on the beach as well. We met them a few years ago but didn't get to know them very well. Maybe this trip we will have more time to visit. We did a pretty good job of cleaning up the fish. After the meal everyone went for a quick swim in the pool. I still was not feeling that well because of the heat, so I went back to the air conditioned RV and had a 2 hour nap. I felt sooo much better afterwards. We finished out the day with some TV and off to a cool sleep!!!! Good Nite!!!!
