We are Back!!!!

Well it has been a long time since the publishing of our last blog.  It has been an extremely busy summer with the ice cream business almost doubling in sales this year and me doing some outside work as well.  Lets give you a little recap of our summer over the next few days before we fire up the engine on the Ponderosa and head south for the winter.

Our first hurdle was the May long weekend.  That is when everyone seems to get a hankering for ice cream and we get quite busy.  The new kitchen proved to be a great asset to our efficient operation and we enjoy the first rush of the season.  Sue had her kitchen all sparkly and ready to go for the weekend.

In anticipation of bug season, I decided to put a screen door on our entrance way.  I remember as a boy having one of these and the squeak noise it made as it opened and closed.  I installed one that I bought on sale at home depot and it squeaked perfectly.

As we said, we got all moved in to our summer spot and got comfortable.

We really don't spend much time there other than to sleep so we like when the neighbours invite us for a campfire.  We had a lot of laughs with good friends this summer.

I will break our summer report into a few posts so that you don't get bored too fast.

So this is the view we had from our window for the summer.
