Solar install Day 2

We are starting to settle in real nice here at Three Lakes WMA in mid Florida.  The weather has been a bit cooler which is ok because we are not climatized to the heat yet.  The humidity has been up and down but for the most part it is ok.   We are camped with an interesting group who seem to be kinda on the same page as us.  They all have dogs so we don't have to tie Charlie up because he just wanders with all the rest of the dogs.

The main purpose of this camping area is to provide an area for hunters to come and stay while they are hunting.  There are lots of them here but they only come on the weekends.  Even the little check in shack is closed during the week.  Hunting down here is a big sport it seems.

They even keep track of the score!!!

Back at the Ponderosa, P & H's solar install is going good.  Sue is up on the roof securing the panels and the wiring in the cool wind.  She had to wear a touque today to keep her hair out of her eyes.  She is installing 6 panels on the roof of Miss Daisy.

Brian is on the ground installing all the component such as controllers and wiring and batteries.

And Harold is doing some projects as well so there is quite a mess going on over there.

Around the corner some of the gang are just hanging out at John and Val's place telling tall tales.  Actually it's just John left and Julie is leaving.   I guess no one was believing his stories. Sorry John.

It wasn't long and I noticed the guys walking around in their best bib and tuckers.  They were in their Sunday meetin clothes because today they were being inducted as Elks members in Saint Cloud.  The Elks do good work and have campgrounds all over the US, but you have to be a member to get into them.  So these guys were joining up today.  Because we are Canadian, the Elks down here don't allow us to join here.  We would have to join in Canada and then do some affiliation thing to be part of the US Elks, I think.  Too much work for me.   Anyway the group all cleaned up real well and I got a couple pictures as they were leaving.  Hope they have a good time.

I only got a picture of one couple so here are Ron and Julie.  They have a You Tube channel of all their adventures called RJ's Adventures so go have a look.   They post a new video every Sunday if they can.

After everyone left, Charlie and I relaxed on the front porch for a while before going in to watch some TV for the evening.

The view out our window tonight was a beautiful sunset:

  4. Looks like the solar install is going well. Interesting score keeping board. You wouldn't go change those numbers just because you could, now would you? Hahaha.
