Happy Birthday to Me!!

WHERE ARE WE? Hinton Oklahoma
NEXT DESTINATION? Moving North tomorrow

Well it has finally happened.  I am officially a senior in all aspects of the word.  When I turned 55 I was considered a senior for some things.  Then at 60 I was considered a senior for CPP and a few more perks and that is when I retired.  But now that I have turned 65, I can get most anything for free I think.  Isn't that how being a senior citizen works??  I sure hope so.   I am really looking forward to being a member of the brown envelope club.

I received a pile of Birthday wishes on Facebook and thanks everyone for that.
But life on the road goes on and today I went and got a new water pump for the Ponderosa.

The old one had got to leaking quite a bit and conserving water is important to us right now while we are on the road and have no source of water other than what we carry on board.  The job of changing it out was quite simple and I also had Doug to supervise.

Once we got the old one out the new one fit right in the same place with the same fittings.  We will now have lots of water pressure with no leaks.

Not much else of interest happening today.  Sues sister Leslie and Chuck facetimed us tonight.  They sang me Happy Birthday in both of our Canadian official languages!!!  We really enjoyed our visit and we really should talk with them more often.  It's great to have these forms of communication, but we find we don't take the opportunity to use them with our family nearly enough.  Maybe we will try a little harder.

Another sunset tonight and another day drew to a close.  We had a great one here and shared some laughs with Doug and Yuma.  It is great getting to know them better and we are glad we got to just hang out here for another day.

  1. safe travels, I enjoy reading your blog. I hope you have better luck with your new surflow pump than I did. Seems the internal check is weak on some of the new units. No problem until you hook up to some city water and wake up in the morning to find your water tank full and overflowing with a new river outside. Mine doesn't always do this but i put a shutoff valve on my suction side, just to be safe.

You can probably rebuild the old pump as a Backup.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time,
