Karl and Susie are Back

WHERE ARE WE? Numero UNO RV Park, La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

We just hung around the park today doing house things.  Sweep the floor, do some dishes, dump the sewer, and some general maintenance.  We knew that Karl and Susie were showing up today so that was going to be the highlight.  When they did finally arrive I got them to stop in the gateway while I crawled up on the roof to snap tie the dangling wire to one that was up higher.  For years, we have had to use a pole to lift the wire for RV's coming and going and I decided to find a better way.  So by tying them up nobody will accidently tear down the wire.  This will make it so that we don't have to lift the wire every time someone comes or goes with and RV.

While I was on the roof I noticed that one of their roof vents had been torn off on the way down the street by a low hanging tree branch.  I put it back on for them before climbing down.

Jon and Terry have moved to site 8 in the back for now because Karl and Susie had booked site 3 last year before they left. They got all parked in beside us and will set up tomorrow.  Its good to have them back.

I always marvel at what our phones hear and see.  Remember I talked about the big cruise ship we saw in PV yesterday?   Well today as I scrolled down FB, there was the exact same ship being advertised.  Not only was it a cruise ship, it was the same one!!  Unbelievable!!

I went to pick up Kenia later in the day to take her to work, and we stopped by Abuela's house to get some things.  She had just made fresh Calabaza enmienda en melada which means Pumpkin Amendment in honey. It is a fruit of some sort of pumpkin and she makes a really sweet brown sugary sauce to go over it.  Was it ever good.  It looked a bit gross but that had nothing to do with the taste.

We met for a little evening discussion over at Ken and Rhonda's to catch up with Karl and Susie's adventures since we all parted ways last year.  Lots has happened and it will take a few get togethers to catch up on everything.

So tonight this is how our new neighbourhood looks.  We had a great day.  Good Nite!!
