We Will Have a Guitar Player in the Family

WHERE ARE WE? Numero UNO RV Park, La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

The power of the ocean just never ceases to amaze me.  Yesterday I posted about the estuary running into the ocean and the deep channel it eroded to do that.  Well today the healing of the sand dam has begun.  Overnight the ocean deposited about 3 feet of sand back in the trench which has made the level of the estuary rise again.  At this rate, it will be back up to full level in a couple days.  There is no stopping mother nature from doing what she wants.  When will we ever learn that.

We decided to head downtown to Irma's for breakfast with Ken and Rhonda.  We had a lovely breakfast and some good conversation.

We parted ways after breakfast and we went shopping for a fan.  We have one big one for the back but need another slightly smaller one for the front.  We found a good one we think.

On our way home we spotted Rhonda getting her nails done.  There are lots of little shops that do nails in town.

A good portion of the afternoon was spent with our feet up just enjoying life.  I even worked in a nap today.

We got a text and a picture from Sheri today announcing that Donovan bought his sister Dani a guitar so she could take lessons.  I immediately began to chuckle and texted back that the first lesson should be how not to hold the guitar upside down and backwards.  LOL.  Yes you are #1 today!!!

I watched a fisherman who had parked his boat out in front of our place this afternoon.  The boat is one that they use for oysters and such because it has an air pump on it.  These guys put on some pretty basic gear and fire up the gas air pump, stick the hose in their mouth and down they go to get whatever they are after.  This guy was not fishing but he did have a big drum that he had some clothes and his backpack and phone in to keep them dry while he swam in to shore and back out to the boat again when he was ready to go.  No idea what he was doing, but there was obviously some sort of deal happening with the locals next door who are fishermen also.

Off into the sunset he went

I did notice today that there are lots more frigates flying around.  I wonder what that means?  I'm sure the fishermen would tell me what is going on.

Sunset tonight was not visible to us because of some clouds.

Sometimes the clouds make for some awesome colours.  I took a couple pictures of the suite in our park that show how the colours appear.

And one more pretty one.

Earlier today our friend Barry from the big RV park came along and gave us a nice little bag of Dorado.  He has a boat down here and fishes quite a bit and yesterday they caught lots so decided to share their bounty.  Thank you so much for thinking of us and is was awesome all fried up.  That was supper.

After supper I headed downtown to visit with Kenia.  She was busy in the cafecito and was happy to see me.  She is always a clown!! We haven't seen her for a few days so it was a treat.

She made me my favorite Fresa smoothie.  They are soooo good.  Thanks Kenia!!

That was our day today and I leave you with a peek out our door today.  Good Nite!

  1. I assume Sue is feeling better. I love the views there, very interesting. I agree about the force of Mother Nature, and always awed by the power she shows.
Great sky through the trees, amazing colours.

  2. The way Dani is holding the guitar, is the way a Lefty would hold it.
To buy a left-handed guitar, costs more than a right-handed guitar. Our grandson is a Lefty.
    Beautiful pictures.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.
