Quartzsite at last

Today was move day.  We love to sit and look at Superstition Mountain here at Apache Junction, but after a while we get what RVers call Hitch Itch.  Thats when its time to move on.  We are looking forward to spending some time at Quartzsite so today we headed that way.

I always marvel at the infrastructure here in Arizona and how much work they do to make their highways look good.  The overpasses and concrete and rock work associated with them is just spectacular. I took some photos heading through the Scottsdale/Phoenix area.

Phoenix skyline (I think)  I can't get all the sub cities straightened out.
So as we are roaring along and I have both hands on the wheel trying to steer a straight line in 6 lanes of traffic with crazy drivers everywhere, I look over at the navigator and this is what I saw.  My goodness that must be a cushy job.   Sue does a great job of navigating by the way.

Our friends Pat and Harold are heading to Quartzsite with us.  It is fun to watch them get their trial by fire in the boondocking world. Thats how we all learn.  They have camped and travelled lots but mostly using campgrounds and being hooked up the the old umbilical cord.  They are doing great so far and we look forward to converting them to this lifestyle.

We love the view tonight because Quartzsite is one of our favorite places to be and we are here.
