Today slipped by with hardly a picture. We were down town picking up supper to share with Fany and Jeff and Max because this is their last day before heading north for the summer. We will miss them a lot but if everything works out, we will see them again in about 7 months, maybe sooner. Anyway as Sue was in picking up the food I stayed in the car. There was this guy who was holding the door for people in exchange for a few pesos. He was obviously off on a big adventure in his mind because he would smile and reach into his waist band and draw out a little toy pistol and shoot everyone that came in or out. He would do it discreetly so he wouldn't scare away any pesos. But he would smile to himself after shooting them and slyly put the pistol back in his waist band. He would even shoot over his shoulder if someone got by him. He was hilarious!!! That would be about the extent of danger here in La Penita. I hope he smiles like I saw him do, all the time. If you are stuck inside your head, you may as well have fun. I didn't have the heart to take a picture of him pointing his wee gun at someone.
