This morning we woke up without having decided where to head next. P&H are in Vegas, Kyra is in Lake Havasu, Rowdy & Missy are in Tucson, so where do we go. We also wanted to go to Lancaster CA some day to visit the Rexhall service center to check out a decal package for the Ponderosa. Lancaster is about 70 miles north of San Bernadino CA so would be a fair little bit out of our way.
I talked to Brian Boone in Quartzsite and he said if we headed there today he would look at our solar problem and try to help us out, so that did it. No Lancaster for this trip. Off to Quartzsite it is, and then on to see Kyra in Havasu. We will hook up with P&H later on in Vegas and hopefully cross paths with Rowdy and Missy before we head north to Canada.
The mountains near Riverside CA are beautiful and green with all of the recent rains. There has been some flooding but we have not seen any of the effects of it.
A little farther along we started seeing some snow in the high mountains. It kind of reminds us of the Canadian Rockies.
I still like it when we break out into the desert of Arizona. Although it was only in the low 60's there is still something warm about seeing cactus growing in sand. We pulled in to Road Runner camping area about 5 pm and the girls headed to town to do laundry. Brian dropped by a little later but because the sun was going down he will come back in the morning to check out our solar.
Tonight we are in Quartzsite Arizona in the Road Runner BLM and this is the view from our window.
"Away" is a place not found on a map, but you'll know you're there when you get there. And then it happens. One day you wake up and you're in this place where everything feels right. Your heart is calm, your soul is light, your thoughts are positive and your vision is clear. Your faith is stronger than ever and you're at peace. At peace with where you've been and with what you've been through and at peace with where you are headed. A place called away.
Brian will fix you up and then you be good to go.

DeleteNice sometimes to have the jello decision made for you. :) Enjoy the desert again.
ReplyDeleteThe desert felt like home to us.
DeleteLooks like we are nearby once more. I'm over near Bouse along Plomosa Drive. Hope Brian can help you with the solar problem.
ReplyDeleteSorry we didn't meet up. We went right by you today up to Havasu. We still have your lawn chair. We will look after it..
DeleteHope you get all fixed up and are soon on your way.
ReplyDeleteOne Question: Who turned off the heat?
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
It has been cool all the time we have been in CA and AZ. Looking forward to some heat next week.
