Happy Valentines Day!!

My sweetie had my Valentines card and a wee gift laid out for me when I got up this morning.  She is the thoughtful one this year.  Every year I get to juggle between Valentines and her birthday, which is on Feb 17, so I guess this year I will have to do extra good on her birthday!!! I did get her a card at least!!  This neat motto will find a special place in the Ponderosa.

We headed into Quartzsite with Kyra to check out a few of the vendors again and came home with a few trinkets.  Nothing of any interest really.  We did buy Charlie a box of 84 small dog dental bones for a treat once in a while, but he decided to eat the whole box we left with him in the Jeep while we were doing more shopping.  He will have the whitest teeth in town now!!!  Burp!!!

After we got back from our shopping spree, I did a couple more little projects around the Ponderosa.  Sue needed a new USB port, to plug in her Wifi stuff in the tech cabinet, so I wired one in for her to the 12 volt system.  I think it will work great!!  Now there will be no excuse for the wifi to be dead!  Maybe I will get my blog out on time now.

Double USB port
One of two wifi's
You may ask why we have 2 wifi set ups?  Well we were fortunate enough to get in on the $20.00 a month ATT Mobley last year and it has been working great!  The only restriction is that it will only handle up to 5 devices and with this tech world, it doesn't take long to fill that up.  Xtreme TV, 2 laptops, 1 I-pad and my phone and it is full.  Now Sue has an ATT phone so we can have another ATT wifi at another $20.00 for another 5 devices.  Our Alexa (Amazon Echo Plus) takes one spot, plus we have 3 plug ins that are operated from her with each one requiring 1 spot.  Then if one of our friends logs in, we are up to 5 on this device too!!!  So that is why we have 2!!  Do we need 2? No. But we want 2!!

Once I got this in place, it was on to the next project.  When our hot water tank is on propane, there is a little wee light in the panel that tells us it is on.  Unless you are looking right at the panel you can't see the light so our hot water gets left on lots of times.  I decided to add a bigger light that will show up from anywhere in the living area of the motor home.  If this red light is on, the hot water heater is on propane!!   It has a separate red light for when it is on 110 volt power.  I think this will save us some propane in the long run.

Hot water light above switches
So that about wrapped up our day.  We didn't have an afternoon happy hour because it was breezy, cool, with a sprinkle of rain.  We were happy enough without it.  Hope your day was happy too!

  1. Sounds like you two have been busy since you arrived in Quartzsite. Really like how your cupboards are turning out. It certainly looks like it brightens up the interior. Great personal touches to make it a wonderful home on wheels.

    1. The reason we bought an older motor home was so we can make any changes we want without worrying about it. We certainly enjoy making it our home and it is really starting to be that. It takes a while to decide what changes to make. We are having fun doing it.

  2. You certainly are a handy fella, and I see no duct tape so I'm assuming you aren't related to Red Green.

Charlie looked properly ashamed. Hahaha...that was too cute.

Rain is over now, so you can resume outdoor happy hour now..

    Keep on having fun!

    1. Uncle Red? I just don't show the duct tape stuff. lol. We only had a few drops of rain here so it didn't slow us down much.
