Archie and I headed out for our morning walk as usual before anyone showed up on the beach. Being a long weekend, there will be lots of people today. I took a bag along and picked up garbage as we walked. There wasn't a whole lot this morning which surprised me after lots of people on the beach all day yesterday. That puts my faith back in humanity.
We got a message from Kenia this morning that she had travelled to Puerta Vallarta to be with Abuela in the hospital today. Abuela has been in and out of the hospital for a couple weeks now. She says she is starting to feel better and we wish her a speedy recovery.
I did a little bit of trouble shooting this morning after wandering around trying all the taps and toilets for leaks. The kitchen tap upstairs is in bad shape and has been leaking for a while. I checked it all out and it seems to be at the end of its life. Ed and Jen will pick out a new one and it should be good for a few years. While it was leaking, it dripped on the shelf below and rotted it out. Wet wood and rusty metal are common sites here where it is humid for most of the year with the exception of a few months in the winter.

Obviously I missed what the holiday is? 🤔 or I've forgotten.
