Susan was in a hurry to get going this morning because we had some shopping to do. She felt that the town would be busy today and she was right.
And of course there was a funeral downtown so a couple blocks were blocked to traffic which made things more difficult. A local man who was responsible for a lot of the murals downtown passed away yesterday. He lived by himself on the main Avenida so of course the wake was outside his house. Maybe I should make a post of all the murals he painted. Another day!!! He was in an open casket right there on main street for people to pay their respects.

We went about our business and the one store we visited was the Dulceria (Candy Store). It is not a very big store, but is jam packed with candy and party stuff. I always marvel at the giant bags of Cheese puffs.

We got all our supplies and headed home. My next thing was to go get a Christmas haircut. Rocio did a wonderful job as usual. Remember, she only cuts hair, she can't fix that face.

Back home and pool time. Fany and Max came over this afternoon so they joined us for a swim.
We have been invited to spend Christmas eve with Kenia at her house. She is putting on a big supper for everyone so it should be good. The only thing is that we asked what time to come and she said 8 pm. I have no idea how we will last the evening because 9 pm is my bed time!!!
We arrived around 8 and were the first to arrive. We visited with everyone for a while before the guests started showing up. Ceci was there so it was nice to visit with her. Sometimes we wonder if we are cramping their style having to translate lots of the stuff for us.

Oscar and I got the pinata all set up for later. I doubt we will see that performance because we will be home in bed!!!
Kenia has a nice little Christmas tree set up outside her front door. She is trying real hard to make her little home as Christmasy as possible. She was even playing Santa tonight.
And then the food came out!!! More food than we will ever eat. Kenia has worked hard preparing all of this.

Well about 10:30 the kids started to do Karaoke so I knew that was our que to leave! There were a couple bottles of tequila there and they wanted to party but were a little hesitant around us. Remember these kids were hardly even teens when we first knew them and they were a long way from drinking age. Kenia had to show us her new TV before we left. I don't even know what size it is, but it is huge!!! Thank you for inviting us Kenia!! We headed home and off to bed. Hope Santa comes to everyone's house tonight!! Good Nite!!
