Things around here are kind of at a standstill between Christmas and New Year. There are lots of Mexican tourist around and the roads are quite busy right now so we have decided to just hang around home. It makes for tough blogging though when at the end of the day, the camera roll is almost empty!!!
Our neighbours about 4 houses down are quite intriguing in that they only seem to come for about 2 weeks over the Christmas holidays. They occupy the house, which has a Mexican family maintaining it for year round it seems, plus they bring a motorhome. There about 10 college age kids and a mom and dad and they have a big boat which lives under a big tarp for most of the year. Today was launch day for the boat and they decided to launch it from the street next to us. The street is quite sandy so they had a heck of a time backing the boat in to unload. They finally got it over the hump and unhooked it there.
| Ron and John were betting on whether they would get it launched. |
They had a wheel that they put on the front of the trailer and they just gave the trailer a push and it rolled down the hard beach and into the water.
For the 2 weeks they are here, the boat stays anchored out in the bay and they use it every day. At the end of the 2 weeks, they load it back up and put a tarp on it and it stays in an empty lot for the other 50 weeks of the year.
After supper I went downtown to see if Kenia was there. Nope, but Suzanna was working hard at the Cafecito. Not sure the arrangement she has with Kenia, but it is not my business!! Oscar was there and tonight he was babysitting Suzanna's son Diago. He is also the runner if she needs supplies. That was my day today! Good Nite!!
