Had a picture from a friend showing a crisp Manitoba morning. You know that its cold when there are sundogs and a ring around the sun. It was around -30C there this morning. Hard to imagine that we are about 60C warmer than they are!!!
We had to do some shopping today so we headed down to Guayabitos to get it done. We like to visit the Popin Grocery to get some gringo stuff. It is expensive but sometimes we just need a little bit of home to keep us going. I did notice a can of Bush's beans for 240 pesos. Thats close to $20 Cnd. Nope, don't need them that bad.
And I always marvel at this apartment block on the 200. Do you see the 2 cars in the garages up there? Sure would hate to overshoot the garage!!! Yes there is a big hill at the back of the building which allows them access to the garage.
Next stop was the Bodega for a few things. We actually stop here to pick up fresh buns which are baked fresh every hour. Mmmmm good. The Bodega is an offshoot of Walmart apparently.
After supper I headed down to Kenia's to see what was going on. It is Lady of Guadalupe Day so there are lots of people around. I always ride my bike downtown and I now have a great light on it so I can see all the pot holes.
There are a lot of Christmas decorations going up. The plaza has a nice tree and everything is colourful. While I was there, there were fireworks right up over top of the Cafecito.
And look who I ran into? Yup JR and Chloe!!!! They spent some time in the RV Park with us a couple years ago. They are staying in LP for a few months so we will see them a few times I'm sure.
Kenia and Suzanna were busy but still had time to have some fun. Kenia is taking some time to be with her boyfriend Isaiah more right now, so Suzanna is busy helping her run the Cafecito. Isaiah is normally works away from LP, but right now he is working around here. Kenia does spend as much time as possible here and she was around tonight.
The lady next to Kenia's was making Pinata's so I bought a couple for Kenia and one for Suzanna. They were pretty happy with them.
The church has been decorated all pretty for Christmas and there was a service there earlier tonight.
Kenia shared some of her supper with me. Yes it is sushie and yes it was good. I'm not sure what it was but who cares.
Said goodbye after and hour or so and headed home. Crazy kids are always all smiles!!

We still had time to watch some TV before heading to bed. Good Night!!!
