We got off to an early start this morning because we had close to 300 miles to go today.
As we pulled out of Las Cruces Walmart on to I-10 both Sue and I rubbed our eyes in disbelief. A Rexhall Roseair was right in front of us as we merged into traffic.
He was even traveling at 100 kms just like we like to do so we followed him for about and hour. He finally pulled into a rest stop so we decided to pull in as well. We met a very nice couple, Wayne and Donna and their dog Buster from Michigan and exchanged some motorhome stories. They have been on the road for 26 years so they are seasoned travelers. They looked at our rig and we looked at theirs. Although they are twins on the outside, they have a totally different floor plan inside.
After talking a while they told us they were going to camp in behind the VFW in Yuma. That is only a stones throw from where we may spend a little time before heading to Quartzsite. May see you down the road Wayne and Donna!!!! Nice meeting you.
About 2:30 we finally pulled in to Tucson and went looking for the Casino Del Sol. Traffic in this city can be crazy but the view from the top deck of the overpasses is exceptional.
The casino is on the southern outskirts of the city in a nice spot.
We are in Tucson to meet some friends of ours from Alaska who we have only talked to and never met, however we already feel a bit like soul mates in our thinking. But that is a story for tomorrow because "I JUST WON $100.00 IN THE CASINO!!!! Woo hoo!!!!!!
Now off to bed. Our view from the window tonight.
