The last couple days I have been watching how many people comment on my Facebook page about the blog. I am really thankful for all those comments because I feel like someone relies on seeing them. I originally began the blog for my family to keep up with us, but that now includes a number of friends and some wanna be friends. Writing a blog on a daily base is a chore but if I know your out there it makes it worth while. I take pride in taking those of you that are not currently travelling along for the ride. As you already know, I like to view our travels with a light heart and even embellish a little wherever the opportunity presents itself. For those that do comment, it is almost better to comment on my facebook post rather than on the blog site because more people see it there, and also I get a notification of every comment. I may not reply to every comment but I do try to read them all and will try to pick the ones that are looking for added information to reply to. Thanks for following along, so jump on board, buckle up and hold on cause we are off to Mexico!!
Today we got off to a later start again!!! What's the hurry?? We did drive from about 10 to about 4 today and made 469 kms. We passed a lot of pasture land and lots of crop land as well. We have passed by a few big piles of grain along the road. Farmers here seem to like to haul their grain to a central collection area rather than put it in bins on their property.
Outside of Pierre South Dakota we passed over the Missouri River. It is a grand river!!

| Pierre is the capitol of North Dakota and this is the Capitol building. |
This underpass in downtown Pierre is quite famous for taking roofs off of campers and delivery trucks. It is actually the original 83 highway and if you don't catch the turn off for the truck route on 14 you will come up to this bridge right after a sharp left turn. No way out unless you back up. I actually missed the turn off today but realized it soon enough to turn around!!!
Today we got into some more winter like temperatures, well our type of winter at least. It's nice to get back into the heat. I'm sure I will be complaining about it in a few days, but for now it is just great.
The blue jeans went into the dirty cloths hamper and will be washed and folded and put away until we arrive back in Canada.

The short feet pretty good after being without them for about a month. The belly proves that I didn't starve this summer and may have had the odd ice cream!!!

We have travelled a little over 1000 kms since we left home.

The day ended with another beautiful sunset. We are in Thedford city park and other than a train every half hour, it is a nice place to park. Good Nite!!!

Glad it is getting warmer for you two. Got to 81in Central Illinois today. Safe travels tomorrow.
ReplyDeletemiss your blog and also meeting you on the road.
DeleteThanks for keeping the blog going. I don't do FB, so it's nice you take this trouble.
ReplyDeleteThanks for following along
DeleteI appreciate your blog because I don't do any social media. But you do a great job writing it up and sharing your pictures of you and Sue's life.
ReplyDeleteSue
Thanks
DeleteMe too. Sorry. Don't do facebook.
ReplyDeleteSo thanks for continuing the blog. Appreciate it.
Please be careful and have a wonderful winter.
We hope its a good one.
DeleteYes its hard to keep up with all the technology
DeleteI might do a 'like' on FB but this is where I read your blog and it's easy to comment here. If I have a query, I'll try and remember to comment on FB so you see it.
ReplyDeleteOn my blog, which I write daily too, it's when I write the next day's post that I go back and answer today's comments. 🤷♀️ Since I'm not on FB as often lately, I may miss those comments unless I specifically go in. There are too many notifications (of all kinds) on FB to request a 'ping'.
Just following along I really enjoy your travels. Keep up the good
ReplyDeleteWork safe travels. Janet
Thanks
DeleteNice light hearted blogl like your writing style & content. Just a FYI regarding Pierre. It's the capital of South Dakota, not North Dakota.
ReplyDeletewoops, your right!!!
