A Visit to the Dr

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

Around 11 Wednesday morning we headed down to Dr Alex's clinic to see what he thought was going on.  You don't even need an appointment because he will work you in.  He was not busy so we went right in.  He did an examination and then sat with us for about 40 minutes explaining what he thought.  He thinks it is baby kidney stones.  He says he thinks they are quite small and should be no problem after they pass.  Now we have to get them to move along.  First thing he did was an IV to give some medication to help them move as well as a couple bags of saline because she is quite dehydrated.  He made us an appointment for an ultrasound tomorrow to get some pictures.  She was on the drip for about an hour and then we headed for home.  Sue rested for the rest of the day.

Oh good, nobody ahead of us

Blood pressure fine!!

A little rest and some fluids

While she was getting hydrated, I slipped away and got some chlorine pucks for the pool.  This jug full is about 75 lbs!!  It takes a better man than me to lift it.  That's why a pretty young lady came out and grabbed one side and I struggled with the other and we got it in the jeep!!!  Almost embarrassing!!!

We got home about 2 pm and Sue spent the afternoon resting again.  She seems to feel more normal right now, but still gets that nausea once in a while.  Of course she is craving again today, this time for ceviche!!  Of course all our normal ceviche places were closed today for some reason so I had to bike all over town to find some.  Finally found it at Paloma's down by the Malecon.   While I was waiting we were all entertained by a great big gorilla!!  The kids loved him.

And Again today the sun set over the hills like it seems to do every day.  Good Nite!!!

Sue Is Not Feeling Well

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

Today Nov 2 is the day when everyone visits the cemetery to visit the graves of adult loved ones.  Yesterday was for visiting childrens graves.  Abuela lot her husband a number of years ago and we like to go to his resting place with her as support for her,  Sue and Fany and Max bought flowers and they all went with Abuela to place them.  One can get lost in this place and I never did make it to his grave cause, yes, I was wandering and got lost.

Abuela and her family also have a taco stand outside the gate for a couple days, to make sure everyone gets fed so we had to stop and have some lunch.   Sue actually got quite sick while we were there and I had to load her up and take her home.  It was actually quite scary but with the heat it seemed much worse.  We will take her to the doctor tomorrow.

We got Sue home and she drank some water and was feeling a little better.  I went down to the Carneceria and Fruitaria to get some stuff to eat.

Sue had a craving for hot dogs.  You know how when you are sick you still crave stuff.  Mexico is not the best hot dog supplier in the world so I got these.  Nope, they were horrible.  I guess cereal for supper!!!

And of course a sunset which happens every night and of course I missed it tonight again.  Good Nite!!!

Tree Day

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

Sunday is one of the days that Joel the gardener comes and we always enjoy his smiling face around.  Today he caught our little iguana and held him so we could get a picture.  Of course he let him go again because he has a lot of growing to do.

Poncho was back today with his helper to cut down the dying palm tree and clean up from the palm cleaning yesterday.

Poncho pulls while other guy uses chainsaw

And down it comes

Jen wanted to get some wood discs from the trunk so we cut off 22 of them for her.  It will be fun to see what she does with them.

The helper has a Ford Ranger truck and 3 of the cylinders seem to be working fine other that using a little oil.  The other 3 cylinders are just kinda along for the ride.  But it gets the job done.

The beer cooler was certainly large enough

I spent a little time cleaning out all the drains in the public bano's.  They catch all the hair an sand and dirt and dry out over the summer so have to be cleaned each fall.

I did manage to slide downtown for a nice liver supper tonight before calling it a day.  Sue has not been feeling well so I took her home some chicken which she turned her nose up at.  Hope she feels better tomorrow.  Good Nite!!!
