Sunday's and Birria go Hand in Hand

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

Another Sunday, (Domingo) and Sunday is the normal day to have Birria but Abuela is not well yet so won't be doing Birria for quite a while.  So I headed downtown to find the guy with the Birria cart.  Yup there it was right in front of the hotel and his business was hopping.  I sidled up to the taco bar and in my best broken Spanish I mumbled, "Dos Taco de Birra , Para llever con no dorado por aque" and just like that, there they were.  I loaded them up with onions and some good green sauce and dug in.  Now they are sloppy and you don't get forks or spoons so by the time you are done eating you feel like a one year old who uses fingers to eat.  It was running right down to my elbows, but man was it good.  A quick "cuanta cuesta and the answer was cincuenta peso's.  I paid and off I went, belly full and smile on the face.  See you next Sunday!!!

Later in the afternoon we received the news that Las Korita's will be opening next Sunday and they are having ribs!!!  We have a standing reservation for opening night so we have something to look forward to.

And a bit of early Christmas for Susan and I.  A big Amazon package arrived which we were not expecting until next Tuesday.  Wonderful!!!  Sue got some things to help her with her latest pet project, making sour dough bread.   I will update on the success of that venture.  I received a new water pump for RRV as the other one is pooched.  I will install it tomorrow.   So the size of the box was a bit deceiving, as there were only a couple small boxes inside.  Oh well, I guess there is a reason for that.

My evening project is to give the lawn some much needed water.  I do it while I am either watching TV or working on the computer because it needs me to move the sprinkler every 15 minutes.  So once I start, I am kinda committed to a couple hour ordeal.

And I worked in a little swim.  The pool is awesome right now so we take advantage of a lot of swims in a day.  The evening ones make the water feel sooo warm.  I took a few pictures while I was floating around all by myself.

This is how close RRV is to the pool

The moon peeks through a cloudy sky

The pool looks inviting

So while I was watering I was working in my little office doing the blog.

Then I wrapped up the evening watching some Chicago Fire.  No sunset pictures tonight because of the overcast.  Good Nite!!!
