Since our arrival here in October, I have been certain that the water pressure has declined since last year. Because the water is all pumped up to the tanaka on the roof and then gravity fed back down to the building, I wanted to put a garden hose fitting up there and run it direct to the ground to see if we get more pressure that way. First thing was to build the tap and spigot and then take it up and mount it on the roof.
The way we tested it was to hook up a sprinkler and do a before and after. The coverage area was quite a bit bigger direct from the garden hose than from the inside spigot down below, so that says there is a bit of a restriction somewhere in the line. They are going to be working on the water system later so I'm sure they will find the problem.

The second reason for the spigot on the roof is because the roof is now full of solar panels and they need to be washed occasionally. So now one can fill a pail right on the roof without having to haul water up here.

Next little project was to change out a leaky tap in the bathroom. Stuff like taps have a tough life with all the salt near the ocean and don't last too long. One could change the rubbers in them, but as you see, the taps rust fairly fast so new is probably a better plan.
After that was done, we got to welcome Ron and Lilly here for the season. They are a great couple to have around and they love Archie. They got here about 3:30 and they had quite a bit of work to get the camper ready for sleeping tonight.
Sue has bought a new smoker attachment to use in conjunction with our Webber BBQ. There was some concern with how it would work but we smoked our supper chicken and John did pork chops and we were both pretty impressed. It is not very big and just feeds smoke into the BBQ from the bottom.
After supper we went to John and Kirly's for a game. I lost AGAIN!!! But it was fun.

After the game, I headed downtown on the bike to see what was happening. Some horses were down there and Kenia was busy at the Cafecito. Suzanna was helping her again tonight so we had a nice visit.
