A Change in Plans

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

Susan and I did some talking last night and we both believe that she is needed back home right now.  We feel that she needs to be there sooner than the 3rd week in April so the decision was made for her to fly home again today.  This time of year it is possible to get a seat on the direct Westjet to Wpg which arrives in Winnipeg at about 10:30 pm their time.  So we jumped in the Jeep around noon and headed in to PV to the airport.

Traffic was not that bad today.

And there it is waiting for us.

PV is building a brand new International terminal near the old one.  There seems to have been a lot of progress this year and I would say the steel work is almost complete.

I dropped her at the airport and headed back to La Penita.  The round trip takes about 3 hours total and I hadn't eaten anything today so I had a hankrin for some chicken.  The little Restaurant at the end of Chicken Street serves up some pretty tasty chicken.  I had Mango sauce on mine and it was sooooo good.  And with a drink 100 pesos.  I will be back!!!

Archie wasn't pleased that I was gone for so long and didn't bring him any chicken.  Poor guy.

The sun has reached the point where it is time for me to move along as well.  Archie and I will be traversing the open roads that lead home soon.  We have set our sights on leaving on Monday morning.  Archie has big boots to fill as my navigator.  lol

I watched Susan's flight as it headed to Winnipeg.  She said she had a good flight.
