Music Nite at Cj's

WHERE ARE WE? Rivers Provincial Park, Rivers Manitoba

The weather is not the greatest but the sun did shine for a while today.  There is a large family group camping here and they got a little beach time.  I'm amazed how much "stuff" we need to entertain any more.  These guys had a truckload of toys and chairs and tables and mats and towels and coolers.....  When I was young we were entertained by the water and the sand!!  Ok, so I'm old.

Susan spent some time with all her friends and kept occupied trying to fix an umbrella.  Don't think that is gonna happen.  Like I said, it was a little cool at times today, so we kept the fire going.

Tonight was "Music in the Park" on the deck at Cj's.  Our friend Murray came tonight and entertained us in fine style.  He played and sang some laid back music which was a nice treat.  He will be back with his son and a friend next week and promised some upbeat stuff.  We also had Raelynn and Isaak do 3 songs for us. They are from Rivers and have not performed for us yet and the listening audience was very impressed with them.  I think we might see them here quite a bit this summer.  I have tried to make the Cj's stage a launching ground for new musicians who have not been exposed to public performing.  It warms my heart to see how some of them build their confidence by performing with other seasoned performers supporting them.

We have nest on the deck with some Eastern Pheobes in it.  3 fuzzy little babies are starting to outgrow the nest.  It won't be long before they literally fly the coop!!

Our lake looked peaceful and inviting tonight as the sun went behind the hill.  There was a nice pink glow on the water.  Good Nite!!!
