Off to Lincolns Birthday

WHERE ARE WE? Rivers Provincial Park, Rivers Manitoba

Sue had sent out a request for a couple of our staff to work today, cleaning out the kitchen at Cj's.  Jorja and Emily responded that they would work.  We had to have a couple of experienced girls because we just said hi to them and told them what we wanted done, and then we were heading out for the day.  We were confident that they would do a good job, and we were quite satisfied when we checked their work after we got home.  Thanks girls.

So we headed off to our grandson Lincolns birthday party in Reston.  We were just there a couple nights ago, but with 4 active kids, there is always something for gramma and grampa to go watch or do.  He had a monster mud truck cake and he loved it.

Nicole bought the kids a new electric 4 wheeler so she asked us to put it together for her.  The 2 gramps got to do the manly things with the wrenches while nana told us what to do.  Nikki knows better than to bark order so she just giggles and watches.  We did manage to get it together and it worked.  We had a few screws left over though.  

Now they have 2 cars so everyone can ride.

We had to go watch the kids riding down the hill in the wagon.  Now this wagon has no steering in the front so it just goes where it wants to.  They had a blast riding it.

Then Lincoln made it down after a lot of coaxing.  He loved it.

We headed for home about 4 o'clock with a little stop on the way at the local ice cream place.  After about a 20 minute wait, we finally got our ice cream.  I hope Cj's is never that slow for ice cream.

Because Archie had been home by himself all day, we took him for a nice long run up the gravel road.  He checked out every gopher hole and puddle along the way and managed to get soaking wet and muddy for the ride home in the Jeep.  He will sleep good tonight.

I went for a little bike ride at sunset.  It's sure nice to have the ebike back.  Good Nite!!
