A Friends Funeral

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

With modern technology it is possible to attend lots of different functions via the internet.  That was the case this morning as I was pleased to attend the funeral for an old friend.  Dr. Lines was a part of my life for quite a few years as a neighbour and also because I dated and at one point, was engaged to his sister-in-law.  Dr. Lines passed away 2 days short of his 100th birthday and I spent most of the morning remembering him.  His son Mark gave an awesome eulogy and told some stories that I had not even heard about him.  Sometimes I think we should have our funerals before we die because there are some very nice things said that we should be there to hear.  (Maybe not at mine though!!)  RIP Doc Lines!!!

In the afternoon I went on an elusive search for some Vitamins.  Some people say we don't need B-12 when we are in the sun all the time but we take it anyway.  Anyway, nobody had any so I will have to Amazon it here.  There is a lady who sells all sorts of herbal and other drugs on the main Avenida, but even she didn't have any.  She had these little sticks with something sweet on them and the bees were having a hay day with whatever it was.

After all my searching I got hungry so I stopped for some liver and onions at El Pollito!!! It was good as usual.

Bike all parked up where I can see it.

Archie and I went for our evening walk and he visited with Scruffy for a bit along the way.

The ocean has been kind of angry today and couple that with sunset behind some clouds and it makes for some different pictures.

Kenia invited us out for supper tonight so I made the reservation at Sergio's for 4 people at 7:30.   Yes I know that is quite close to my bedtime but I am up for it tonight.  Sue and I arrived on time and sat and chatted until about 7:50 when Kenia and Isaiah showed up.  Shortly after that Oscar and Karen showed up and a half hour later Bryon joined us.  We had a great evening of laughs and food.

Kenia was sick but still smiling

It was a lovely evening and I made it to bed by about 10:30.  Good Nite!!!
