A Rooster Fight

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

One thing we have a lot of down here are chickens.  Our street, Los Cabos, is known locally as chicken street.  They start their day around 4:30 am and scavenge until just after dusk.  Sometimes the roosters get a little edgy when another rooster starts hangin around his pretty hens.  Such was the case this morning as I witnessed a pretty aggressive rooster fight.  They did seem to work it out and went on like nothing had happened.

There is a lot of construction going on in LP these days.  I'm not sure that is a good thing for us because the quiet little town we came to 7 years ago is slowly turning into a going concern.  I guess that is progress.  The narrow streets make it a bit tricky for the cement trucks and cement pumps to navigate.

We did what we normally do most afternoons and met for the sunset on the beach.

And of course the Archie walk happened as well.  While we were walking John and Kirly headed downtown for supper, so I got a picture of them with the setting sun behind them.

some pretty after sunset colours

We played some cards with Ken and Rhonda but before we went there we dropped in on Ron and Lilly who were playing cards with Rick and Jill.  They seemed to be playing good together so we left them alone.  Had a fun evening.  Good Nite!!
