A Tour With Ron and Lilly

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

After lunch today I gathered up Ron and Lilly and we went on a little tour up to the place where their RV has been stored over the summer months.  They have not seen the place in a long time and said it is much nicer now than it was.  Our friends Steve and Anna own this spot and it is known as Alta Vista RV park.  There is not much activity here in the winter months but there was 1 RV there while we were there.  They must have 100+ sites there in total.  Steve gets lots of RV's to store over summer because it is farther away from the salt air down by the ocean.

After that we took a drive up to Alta Vista up on the side of the mountain.  There is a cross at the top as there is in most places that are up high.  The houses in that town are all built on the side of the mountain and you are looking down on them on one side of the road and up to the others on the other side.

Next was a little tour up to Lima de Abajo which is a pretty little town on the other side of the 200.  It is just a sleepy little town with agriculture being its mainstay.  It has an old bull ring which is now probably used for a little local rodeo maybe.  Bull fighting has been banned in Mexico so there is none of that.

We got back in late afternoon and I joined Ken and Rhonda and John and Kirley for taco's downtown.  I always love a taco for supper.

On the way home there was a birthday party going on and they completely blocked off one of the main streets in the residential area.  No one care that they have to drive around.  A party is a party and it gets priority.

Tonight we got to watch some young boys doing some fishing at sunset.  They were being quite careful to not get their nets tangled after pulling them in.  They caught a couple of nice fish for their efforts.  Good Nite!!
