WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico
We were up by 8 again this morning so it seems like that will be our rising time for the winter. Today Archie has a 9:30 appointment for a grooming! He was getting a little scruffy and with the hot weather I think he must have been hot. Anyway the groomer is just a couple blocks down the street which is quite handy. He was all done by noon and was happy to come home.

And they always put these dots between his eyes!!

While he was away at the groomers, I took some time to find a couple Birria taco's. There is a little ramshackled restaurant downtown and they have amazing birria, so that's where I headed. My Birria guy that serves on the street corner takes Monday off so that's why I went there.

Over the summer, they have added a roof to part of the restaurant as well as upgraded the tin and roof trusses on some of it. I kinda chuckled as I looked up and noticed that the trusses were attached to the support posts with Zip Ties!!!! Remind me not to come here on a windy day!!
Susan made up a great roast and potatoes and carrots for supper. The veggies down here have so much more taste than at home. She used what our friend Patsy calls Madame IP!!! We can only eat tacos so many times before needing some good old Canadian food. It was yummy.
About 7pm, Kenia texted to see if we were coming down to the Cafecito. She is going to be there training Diago so thought we could be company for a while. Kenia's mom and Louis showed up as well and we had a lovely visit as best as we could with our terrible Spanish. Louis is fluent in English so that helped a lot. Another great day. Good Nite!!!
