Bees and Garbage

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

Coffee as usual on the beach this morning.  There were lots of small fish jumping and the pelicans were just cruising around getting their fill.  It is so peaceful here in the mornings with a good coffee.

So we have been seeing lots of FB posts about how much garbage are on our beaches and they say it is disgraceful and needs to stop.  Come on, it is not that bad and yes there is some garbage, but in Mexico you tend to see lots of garbage and then one morning you don't see anything.  Sometime in the night they pick it all up and even sweep the streets.  Until that happens, if you want to belly ache, grab a bag and go pick garbage.  Our beach that Archie and I walk is probably 1/8 of a mile and I grabbed my pickup stick and a grocery bag and off we went.  I filled the grocery bag in that distance so I'm not sure what everyone is belly aching about.  I will do it again in a couple days and get some up in the fence line, but I bet not more than another bag full.  There, problem solved!!!  Now I am allowed to belly ache!!

Next thing on the agenda is picking up a mess I made last night.  Now I know I will get in trouble for this by all the tree hugging bee lovers but believe me when I say that it will be a long long time before the bees are extinct.  They procreate much faster than we kill them.  I found a hive of honey bees in the De Tros (the Garden Suite) yesterday so I got some raid and went in there after dark last night and gave it to them.  Doggoned if I was gonna get stung trying to relocate them, and to where?  I did an awesome job of it and this morning there were hundreds of dead bees in the bottom of the cabinet.  The cabinet is rotten and needs to go to the dump anyway so that solves one problem.  They had created quite the hive and it had lots of honey in it.  Well that is another project done.

lots of dead ones on the outside

There is the honey comb.  Each about the size of your hand.

And its ride to the dumpster

We spent most of the afternoon in the pool keeping cool.  That is even hard to do with the pool at 90F!!  We have placed umbrellas strategically around the pool so we can swim in the shade.  Smart huh??

In the evening I headed down to Kenia's for something to do.  The Plaza is all decorated up from Dia de los Muertos still and will remain like that until at least Revolution Day in late November.  The Plaza is right beside Kenia's Cafecito so I like to wander in there.  Great Day!!!  Good Nite!!
