Happy Birthday Lena!!

And today was a great day because we are going to meet up with our friends Drew and Leena and celebrate Leena's birthday.  It is supposed to be a surprise but there are too many moving parts of this surprise for her not to figure it out.  Oh well, its all about the fun of trying.  I love the drive on the libre to PV.  We could take the toll road but it is just blah.  The 200 is windy up and down and around with topes and tree branches hanging down and little old motorcycles and men of horseback and dogs running along the road.  There are taco stands along the road and every little town is bustling.

We were a little early so I dropped Sue off at Sam's Club and I sat in the shade with Archie.  

Because the party will go until after dark, Drew suggested that we stay in the Air B&B right below their condo tonight.  Good idea.  It is a lovely little place with a little Mexican flavour with a ritzy layout.

We then had to head up to Drew and Leena's because she would be home soon.  Their condo is 2 levels above us with a winding staircase.  Archie would have nothing to do with the stairs that you can see through.  Sue ended up carrying him.

They have a lovely place on multi levels with great view of the bay in PV.

And soon the guests arrived and soon after Leena and !!!!! came back from their set up art museum tour.  She was not totally surprised, but she did not know that we would be there.

About 6 pm we headed about 2 blocks down the road, (I mean down!!!) to a lovely little restaurant for supper.  There were about 15 of us I think.  

We had past and pizza.  Freddy had the pasta with the raw egg yolk on top.  It looked yummy!!.

We got to meet some of Drew and Leena's friends who all turned out to be real nice people.  That of course was no surprise,  Great people attract great people.

We had a great evening of dining and then out came the cake!!! Happy Birthday!!!

And right on que the fireworks lit the sky!!!  What a celebration!!! Good job Drew!!!  And like that it was over.  We sat with Drew and Lena for a while chatting and then it was bed time.  Good Nite!!!
