Time to Head Home

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

This morning we got up and had coffee with Drew and Lena and said good bye to our cute overnight accommodations and headed for home.

We had to stop to get a few things along the way but with the heat, I stayed in the car with Archie and enjoyed the breeze.   I did slip in for a minute to talk to Sue and happened by the seafood isle.  Lots of neat stuff to buy and its fresh out of the ocean.

Made it home and had a wee nap and then it was time for Archies walk.  The man and lady fisherpersons were pulling in their trap net.  They caught a couple of fish but it seems like a lot of work for what they get.  I did manage to catch almost a sunset while watching the fishermen tonight.

I headed down to Kenia's Cafecito later for a visit.  Her friend was there and she had her 15 day old baby there.  Wow are they ever small!!!  Careful Kenia!!!

It's funny how we have grown up to view Mexico as kind of a rough and tough place, and like everywhere else in the world, it has its rough spots.  However as a whole, the Mexican people are a God fearing people and they are not afraid to make God a big part of their family life.  This is quite evident in the church services.  The mass's here are full to overflowing every time there is one.  They sing at the top of their lungs and clap their hands and worship to the best of their ability.  I like to stand outside and even though I have a hard time following what they are talking about, you can feel the reverence of the occasion.  I remember when I was young being surprised if more that a half dozen people showed up to prayer meeting.  Tonight the church here was packed!!!  Going to say my prayers and off to bed!! Good Nite!!
