Fly Ball and a Pot Luck

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

So Ed sent me this picture of the moon at about 5:30 this morning.  The sun was rising over the mountain in the east and the moon was getting the reflection from it.  What a great thing to see.  I of course will never see it because I am still snoring at that time of day.

When I did wake up and after a quick coffee, I took Archie for his walk.  Apparently the tide is quite high as the waves have come in through the gate.

We had to be careful not to get caught by a rogue wave

And there it is!!

my feet got wet but Archie ran to high ground

When we got back, I spent a little time cruising FB and found out that I CAN NOT do any chores today!!!  It is a Mandatory Rest Day today!!!  Well for government people only I guess.

And then it was time to go get another needle in the bum.  It took me a whole 5 minutes and I only bypassed one person today.  One more to go tomorrow!!  Here are some pictures inside his office.

We had to stop at Coppel to pick up our Remitly money transfer.  Lots of people here today.  It is a furniture store with its own bank inside!!!

We picked up some shrimp today for a pot luck we are having tonight. 1 kilogram of beautiful shrimp for 180 pesos.  ($13.70 CND)  That would cost probably $50 bucks for kilo at home!!!  We also got a papel picado which we will use for a Fly Ball net.  The old one is worn out.  I zip tied it to a rope and there is the new net.

We decided to have a game of flyball at 3 before we had our big potluck.  We had 8 players so it was just perfect.  We made a lot of great shots and had some good laughs, a lot at my expense!!!

John to the rescue!!

We had our potluck scheduled for 5 so everyone started gathering at about 4:45.  We had invited Jeff and Fany and Bryant and Jo to join us tonight.  We had everyone from the park there as well.

Getting set up

We had 16 people at the table

we almost got a sunset

Archie got to watch from RRV cause he gets a little anxious with the other dogs when food is involved.

There was lots of food for everyone with some tasty desserts as well.

And these two were making sure that Archie was still locked away lol

I think everyone enjoyed the evening.

We headed for the house at about 7:30 after enjoying some good fellowship with everyone.  Obviously I spent the evening doing 4 blog posts while watching Emergency NYC.  Now I am all caught up with the blog and so are you!!! Good Nite!!!
