I'm not sure how many people are aware, but before my heart attack, I used to have my pilots license. I didn't fly much between 1985 and 2012 so I let my medical lapse. In 2012 I decided redid my medical and was in the process of getting my license re endorsed when I had the heart attack and they pulled my license so quick, it made your head spin. Anyway, in the early 80's I lived in Alberta and I owned shares in 2 aircraft. Both planes were Cessna 182's and I used to fly lots then. We used to fly from Alberta, back home to Manitoba occasionally as well. I did not have pictures of my planes, but I reached out to the Lacombe Flying Club and some of the members had pictures of them. Lots of happy memories of zipping through the sky's in these beauties. Apparently both aircraft are no longer around after they had some crashes.
C-GSRT a 1956 Cessna 182. A fun airplane to fly.
C-GBAM a 1965 Cessna 182. Long range tanks made this the travelling aircraft.
Joel was here today doing his grounds keeping as normal. There is a patch of clover like weeds between RRV and the sand at the beach and Jen got him to remove it. It is very tough stuff and is not great for bare feet so out it goes. He worked hard to get rid of it.
looking good
he took a drink break and checked out the ocean with the binoculars. He probably has never had the opportunity to use binoculars before!!
Early afternoon I slipped away downtown to grab a bite to eat. I went to El Toro Restaurant for "A" taco. I guess I wasn't clear and I ended up with 3 fairly good sized fish taco's. I managed to eat 2 of them. but had to pack one up and take it home.
Which sauce should I use???
2 big slices of fish on each taco
I just had time for a quick nap when I got home, before putting on the swim suit to have a game of flyball. We had a great time and played like 4 games today.
lots of amazing volleys
We put all the lounge chairs on their sides to help keep the balls from leaving the pool area. It works well.
Tonight we had a pizza and movie night. Jen and Susan made pizza dough for everyone and then everyone made their own pizza out of whatever they wanted. John and Kirly cooked a few of them and we all gathered at the palapa to eat. Ours was awesome.
It was Fany's birthday today so after pizza we had cake and sang Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday Fany!!!
Then it was movie time. Max had been watching Paw Patrol while we visited over pizza but once we showed up the Paw Patrol went away!!! We (not me) watched Scrooged with Bill Murray. I just don't get Bill Murray humor so I went and did my blog. It is kinda fun watching a movie outdoors on the big screen.
There was a sunset again with some beautiful after colours. Good Nite!!!
