Will The Bike Be Fixed Today?

WHERE ARE WE? Rest Stop north of Wichita Kansas

Today was just a short trip for us so we slept in and then enjoyed our coffee and the green grass outside our door until noon.  There is a pond right beside us and the frogs are croaking, the geese are geesing and there are cows mooing right beside us.  It is a picture perfect place and we hated to leave.

So we headed north on our adventure to Wichita Kansas.  We will be picking up the part I hope will fix my ebike at a bike dealer there.  lectricbikes have shipped it to them from Phoenix with a delivery date of tomorrow.  We hope to get it by noon tomorrow and if it fixes the problem we will move on, if not we hope someone can help fix the problem.  We saw some really neat things on our trip there today as we found a narrow 2 lane road to follow for a while.

We laughed because this small town had a sign outside one that said "Old Bank" and right beside it was a modern ATM.  We missed the picture but I thought it should have been called the "New Bank".

And you can't get any handier to the freeway with the Air Evac Helicopter.  

We got an email from Lectric that said our part had been delivered.  We will go there today to pick it up and maybe we can be lucky and be on the road again this afternoon.

We arrived at the Bike shop at about 4 pm and the package was there.  Right on!!!  Fingers crossed and out to the motorhome I went.

Sue helped me unload the bike and I removed the old throttle and installed the new one.  

Fingers and toes crossed.  

And away it went!!!!  Woo Hoo, finally!!  Because the day was winding down, I only got to take a couple short rides, but it is working well.  So we loaded it up in the Jeep and headed out to our stopping place for the night.

So down the road we went for about 30 kms to a lovely little rest area.  That's where we will hang out for the night.

And the phone rang and little Max was calling to tell us he had a great day.  Always enjoy a call from him.

Temps here today were great.  Going to be a nice night with lows of 13C.

And the day ended with some TV again and a great sunset.  They happen here in Kansas too!! Good Nite!!
