Lessie's Birthday Supper

WHERE ARE WE? Magnolia Beach Texas

Moving Day today.  When we got to Magnolia Beach, we parked close to the bathrooms and near the cabana's to be away from the water from the Bull Tide.  The first night the water covered the beach and almost made it to where we were parked.  Anyway, the cabana area is an area that attracts car livers and basic homeless people some of which are a little bit unstable.  They like it because they have a roof over their head and a table and bench to put their stuff on.  The lady beside us introduced herself and made sure we knew she suffered from schizophrenia.  Thank you for that important piece of information.  I do not think any less of her as a person, but in the same breath, I don't need to subject myself to that situation, so the decision was made to move farther down the beach.  We like to be near the water anyway!!!

It was hot again today, so we spent most of the day indoors.  Good thing there was a nice breeze blowing.  I did manage to get outside for a little too long apparently.  No that is not frost bite!!!

A little red

Once again, a few ships came and went of the course of the afternoon.  It seems busier than usual in the channel.

Lessie's birthday was yesterday so we took her to the Indianola Fishing Marina for supper tonight.  It is a place we usually visit at least once while we are here.  Its only 5 or 6 miles down the beach and they have good fish and seafood.  Plain but good.  The fun thing is that we get to sit out on the deck and watch all the fishermen.  They were catching lots of crappy tonight.

Our table on the deck.

Thats all of the sunset I could get

There are a few shrimp boats tied up right outside the deck.

As it gets dark they turn on their neon green lights which gives and eerie glow to the fishing area.

We had an enjoyable evening and were home by 8 or so to watch some TV and then bed.  Good Nite!!
