Today is hot and humid again. We find we just can't even operate in the heat right now. As soon as you move you begin to sweat and when you are as old as me that just plays you right out. So we planned on doing a lot of sitting in the shade today. One thing about sitting in the shade means you are sometimes under a tree and birds sit in trees and things happen. Susan was the brunt of a bird bombing today!!!
I did take Archie for a walk this morning. The storms over the winter have eroded lots of sand from the estuary and the beach by us. Right in front of us is not too bad, but farther down there is 6 feet of sand gone. I'm sure it will return, but for now it is gone.
Up the beach the other direction, the condo's that were at the foundation stage when we left are moving right along. It will be a pretty building when it is done, but it is a sign that tourism is slowly moving in to La Penita.
Our building only gets water supplied on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, and we operate off a large cistern so it is important that the cistern is filled on those days. There is only a 3/4 line coming in to the property so the water flows slowly. The water seems to have impurities in it like grass and stuff and our shut off valve gets clogged over time. I guess that is why you don't drink Mexican water!!! I checked the well today and the valve was almost completely plugged. I spent some time removing it and cleaning it but the water is flowing freely now.
Jeff and Fany invited us up for lunch and to see their new pool. We did spend some time in it and it was lovely.
By the way it is Halloween but there are no trick or treaters on the streets of La Penita. The kids gets some treats at the downtown stores, but there are not a lot of them running around in costumes. We did get some pictures from home of the kids there. Its always fun to see what they dress up as. We even have the big kids dressing up!!!
