A Cool Lunch

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Mexico

Sheri was up and watching the waves this morning and I joined her there.  The waves are crashing today and creating lots of white water.  The red flag is flying today signifying that swimming is not recommended.

The only thing exciting in our lives today is that we went downtown for lunch with the kids and Kenia and Oscar.  We chose Las Brisas because of the view but when we got up there, the kids were frozen from the breeze off the ocean.  The temperature today was in the high 20's C so that wasn't the problem.  Las Brisas means "the breezes" so they are prepared for the breeze.  They have these cute little throws for customers to use if they are cool.

There were not a lot of customers there because they cater to the snowbirds, and most of them have headed north for the summer.

After lunch the kids went down to get a picture at the La Penita sign.  It is quite busy with people taking pictures.  Semana Santa (Easter) is bringing a lot of people to town.

On the way home we saw an iguana just hanging out.  This one is not very colourful.

And we got this photo as well at what we call the stinky bridge.  It is the estuary and it is getting a bit stagnant!!  You never know what you will see there.  Do you see it??  Good Nite!!!
