Back to La Penita

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Mexico

Well I didn't do any posts while I was back home in Manitoba other than on Facebook.  It was sort of easy just to post stuff as it happened as well as in a daily journal type entry.  Maybe that will be a way to journalize next year!  But for now I will continue with the blogs.  

We were at the airport just after sunrise.  The temperature was not bad at about -18C.    

We got out of Winnipeg International Airport about 10:30 am and started our journey to Puerta Vallarta.  The trip was non eventful and the plane was not full so all 3 of us got window seats after we levelled out for the trip.

This was the weather in North Dakota and the snow continued until probably southern Nebraska to mid Kansas.  Brrrr..

Mexico was of course a different story.  This is the city of Tepic which is north of PV.  We were already on our descent.  

Lots of planes in PV today but the arrival area and immigration were not busy at all.  We were off the plane and out the door in under 45 minutes. Kenia was there with Sue to greet us.  A little welcome to Mexico Mezcal right there in the arrival area!!!  Salud!!!

No Mezcal for Dani!! LOL

We had to be creative with packing our luggage in the Jeep for the trip home to La Penita. 

And we had to stop by Kenia's to pick up a mattress for them to sleep on.  They wondered how we would transport it?  I got a jeep for a reason!!!

Once we got unpacked we all had to head down to the Cafecito for some smoothies and frappes and of course Kenia's deep fried corn!!!

That was it for today.  We are glad to have the kids here with us for a while.  Not often I get a sunrise and sunset picture on the same day!!  Good Nite!!!
