Today was a ho hum sort of day. A bit of overcast but high humidity in the morning and afternoon. We went to look at a couple motorhomes at Camping World today. They had a Georgetown that we were interested in but it had been rode hard and put away wet and a Winnebago that just had a new windshield but was overpriced. It has been my experience that Camping World overprices stuff and I have heard that as soon as the cheque clears, you don't get much satisfaction from them. Just what I heard. We did have a good salesman today who was not into high pressure at all.
So we packed up and headed on the next part of our journey. Today we are heading to Cleyburne TX to spend the night and have a quick look at a couple more Motorhomes tomorrow. Sue has a few pegged around the Dallas area to look at as well. We travelled on I-35 for most of the afternoon travels just because we want to get where we are going. Although the scenery is not the same as a back woods highway, it can be interesting just the same. We went through Austin right by the city center. Pretty awesome!!!
This is generally where the phone gps dies!!! Which way now? |
And then Sue says, "We should be on that one up there!!" |
Austin City Limits |
And we saw the Frank Erwin Center quite by accident. It is a unique looking building so Sheri looked it up to see what it actually is.
It looks like a tank |
And of course we are in Southern Baptist Country!!
Did I mention that Dani got hold of my phone again!!!
As we got farther north the clouds started closing in and the temperature started to drop a bit. We are going to be in tornado alley in a couple days so we are practicing today. They put out a watch for every storm down here I think.
We got all set up in our favorite campground. Actually there is nothing wrong with Walmart if you can get way off in the corner where it is quiet. This one looks quite peaceful and will do the trick tonight.
So this was our trip today. Not that far but that is ok with me. Good Nite!!!
We agree, nothing wrong with a Walmart for the night especially now that they are no longer open 24/7, We have stayed at several this last week and will probably visit a few more next week...lol. Happy Motorhome shopping. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteHappy shopping. It looks like a fine day of travel. All went well, you arrived in one piece with the engine running well and no parts dragging behind. Sounds good to me.
