We had a little surprise on our walk on the beach this morning. We saw a blob floating about 30 feet from shore. As we watched it got closer and closer until it finally rolled up on shore. It was a dead sea turtle! And it was big. Probably 150 lbs. I wonder how old it may have been. This one had been dead a couple days I think.
After our walk I headed downtown to find some birria, but I ran into Abuela and Anyanelli and Carol. They were going for breakfast and invited me. I texted Susan and she walked down and joined us. We had a great talk over breakfast. Oscar and Rafi joined us.
While we were eating a young lady came in with a mandolin and sang a couple songs. She had an awesome voice so we gave her a little tip as did everyone else. I love how the musicians are brave enough to just step up and sing their hearts out.
Anyanelli had a 100 peso note that was from 1982 and was showing it around. I don't think they are really rare but we had never seen one so she gave it to us!!! Yup gave it to us!!! We will find a special place for it.
Archie and I had a nice evening walk on the beach as usual. It was really quiet because a lot of the snowbirds have flown the coop. It is like the calm before the storm, as the Mexicans will start to show up on Friday for Holy week that starts on Sunday. Then the beaches will be packed for 10 days or so. We don't get it that bad here, but we certainly get more people than usual. We walked by the condo construction again and they are moving right along.
We all did the sunset gathering again today. We were hoping for a sunset without clouds tonight but no such luck. It was still good to watch it slip behind the clouds. Another good day. Good Nite!!
