We have been having some hot weather lately so the pool has been getting used lots. It has not had a good clean for a bit so the green algae builds up and eats up all the chlorine and you have to shock it and add clarifier and let it sit over night. All of the algae clumps up on the bottom of the pool ready to be vacuumed. For this process you do a vacuum where you just pump the vacuumed water into the sewer. It uses a lot of water so one has to be fast. I guessed that I used about 400 gallons of water to clean it this morning.

Today we had plans to go up in the mountains to the hot pools. These are the rustic ones that we really enjoy. It is about an hour and a bit one way on a bumpy road but the trip is always worth while. Ed and Jen accompanied us and John and Loren followed in their truck. We went around a bend and there were a couple cows on the road and they were not moving out of the way very fast.
We spent about 3 hours at the pools and had some lunch and drinks. This was the first time here for Ed and Jen. They seemed to enjoy it. They have been doing lots of upgrades to the pools and I sure hope they don't take that traditional Mexican rusticness away from it.

Then back down the rough old road that takes us home. This time we met a whole heard of cows being driven by a cowboy. We just pulled off to the side and let them by.
I always have to take a picture of the sign for the pueblo of "La Cucaracha" because it makes me think of the song and I have it floating around in my head for a while.
We arrived home about 3:30 so still had some time to do things around home. Susan has been doing some rock painting and she does a really good job of them. She gives them away or places them around the property for people to find and admire. I smile at her rendition of crazy animals. Those are my favourites.

When Archie and I went for our walk tonight, we noticed more Mexican people starting to enjoy the beach. Easter is sneaking up on us real quick and it is a big holiday for the people here. School is finished today for a couple weeks too.
As we were walking along, barefoot in the sand, I looked down and there were hundreds of little blue button jelly fish washing up on the beach. I am amazed that I didn't step on one or maybe I did and they do not sting when they are dead. They are in the family of the Blue Man O War.

We did the same ole sunset meeting on the beach. We did get a little bit of a sunset tonight before it slid below the clouds.
After dark I headed downtown to check what was going on. Not much other than some dancing horses who were not really dancing!! They are such pretty animals.
I had not had any supper so I stopped by the Cafecito and Suzanna and I shared some tacos from just down the street. She was not that busy so she had a chance to sit and eat with me. She is doing a great job of running the Cafecito and Kenia is happy having her work for her. What a great way to end an enjoyable day. Good Nite!!!
