Well I remember finishing my blog yesterday stating that we would get no rain. Well I was wrong. About 9 pm the wind got up and the thunder and lightning moved in and we got a good old storm. We got about 2 inches of rain in and hour. I know because the pool came up 2 inches. Should have figured we were getting a storm last night!!!
It was wild for a while with the wind whipping the awning and screen around and the rain driving sideways under our awning. I ran in the rain and grabbed the Jeep and put the drivers side wheels on the drop down screen to hold the awning in place. I added a couple ropes for added security. About the time I got all this done, the rain and wind both subsided and never came up again. Figures.

And what the heck. Susans craft tent look like it went for a ride in the wind. We got a text from Trent and Janelle saying our tent was in their yard!!!

It had blown over the hedge or the white building last night which are both about 10 to 12 feet high. It must have lifted like a balloon. Reminds me of Wizard of Oz and Dorthy.

| here she comes |
Susan spent about 3 hours in bed and some good old Ibuprofen and when she got up she felt much better. She will be going back a couple times to get more work done. While she was sleeping, I headed down town to get some antibiotics for her. She has a bit of infection as well. And I stopped by the on the street natural medication lady. We have been taking a natural medication called Flex and it has made my knees stiffness go away. I could not climb the stairs into RRV without using my arms to pull myself up. Now I just walk up the stairs with no problem. I am not a big believer in this kind of stuff, but I can not deny this stuff works. I quit taking it for about a week and was back to where I started. Withing a day of resuming the meds, I was good again. Sue has noticed benefits for her as well. So we bought enough to last us until we get back here next fall.
It was super hot downtown so I sat and drank a maracuya (passion fruit) agua fresca. They are so good and refreshing.
Sunset was almost a failure but not quite. We had the normal gathering and enjoyed watching the sun dip behind the clouds.
We finished off the evening with a game of marbles with John and Kirley. They only have one more night here before they start their northward travels. Stupid Game!!!! LOL Yes I lost!!! Good Nite!!!
