Market Day.

WHERE ARE WE? Numero Uno RV Park, La Penita, Mexico

I enjoyed a coffee sitting in my gravity chair under the new palapa.  I think it will become my favorite place to drink coffee.  I was watching for whales and noticed a fog bank rolling in across the ocean.  It got quite thick out there and then magically disappeared with the heat of the sun.

I think our palapas are a big hit around here.  The one is in front of RRV and the other is on the other side of the yard.  They make things look quite tropical.

Today was market day in the plaza so I went down to wander around.  They literally have everything from soup....

to nuts!!

And what is that down there?

Yup its the Kitchen Sink?  I really didn't think I would find one but there it was.

The market in the actual plaza is for the tourists to buy from.

As you walk down the 5 blocks or so, the items change from tourist attractions to an actual garage sale type market which caters to the locals.  I like to check out everything they have to offer.

Lots of burners for stoves.

Used clothes in good shape

Used clothes

Do you need a VCR?

I took a picture of the fruit cart and when I got to looking at it, there was a story there.  Apparently the young lady had decided to purchase a new hat at one of the vendors.  She is strutting like she is pretty proud of her purchase.  The other lady and guy are not thinking she made such a good purchase or maybe they are jealous.

lots of lovingly used tools

The ice cream man was a little further down the way selling his wares.  It is not quite warm enough for ice cream yet I don't think.

Way down near the end of the market I found this shovel just sitting idling by the wall, Not sure if it was for sale or not however it must have belonged to Manitoba Highways because it had a big bow in th handle from being leaned on a lot.

And some old propane tanks that have been recertified by getting a nice coat of new paint.  I bet they are at least 20 years old.  Nobody cares.

Do you need a new dog or two, or maybe a duck?

I was exhausted by then so headed down for a breakfast burrito at the Alure Hotel.  Nice tasty breakfast for about 100 peso's.  The rest of the day was spent lazing around.  Soon it was over.  Good Nite!!
